Concert by Claire Victoria Roberts & Gonzalo Zapata at PUY & CO
June 19, 2026, at 8:00 PM.
Claire Victoria Roberts, composer, singer, and violinist, together with Gonzalo Fernández Zapata, a pianist trained in both classical and jazz traditions, present a concert that begins with Welsh traditional songs in their most essential form and leads them into new sonic territories.
Throughout the journey, the melodies shift and transform, opening themselves to new harmonies, different rhythms, and influences drawn from both Celtic and Iberian music, not as a mere combination of styles, but as a coexistence within a shared musical language.
In the second part, the tradition of La Rioja and echoes of Spanish music emerge as a natural continuation of this process, so that the journey ceases to be a movement between places and becomes instead a continuous sonic evolution.
- Date: June 19 at 8:00 PM.
- Venue: PUY & CO Espai d’Art – c/ Sant Pere Màrtir, 15 – Gràcia, Barcelona.

With an ensemble that brings together voice, violin, and piano within a single expressive body, where the voice carries the text while the violin and piano develop and transform the musical material, the project combines traditional repertoire and original compositions in Welsh, English, and Spanish, creating a journey that connects different traditions through a shared foundation rooted in both classical music and jazz.
