The Rajazz: Camel on Flute — Jaume Vilaseca Trio feat Maria Gil on June 5 and 6

Puy & Co. hosts two unmissable concerts on June 5 and 6: Jaume Vilaseca Trio feat. Maria Gil invites us to rediscover 1970s symphonic rock through the language of jazz.

In this new offering, the Barcelona trio led by pianist Jaume Vilaseca pays tribute to the legendary British band Camel, with a repertoire centered on iconic works such as Mirage, The Snow Goose, and Moonmadness. The true sonic protagonist is Maria Gil’s transverse flute, which provides a brilliant, rigorous, yet daring sound, taking the music through landscapes that are as melodic as they are experimental.

The project is part of Vilaseca’s journey, reinventing the music of bands like Genesis, ELP, Yes, and The Alan Parsons Project with jazz sensibility, and now delves into the beauty and depth of Camel and other early prog-jazz icons.
